Ellie Kramer, Owner and PT
Ellie has developed a holistic and comprehensive approach to injury over the past 22 years as a physical therapist. In addition to traditional methods, she incorporates osteopathic manual techniques such as myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and muscle energy. She specializes in the relief of chronic neck, back, and joint injuries, headaches, TMJ and balance dysfunction. Her energetic, confident, and loving personality enhances her relationship with each client. Her passion for physical fitness and the outdoors inspires her enthusiasm to restore full function to others.
Christy Keegan, PT, MS
Since 1991, Christy has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings, including private practice, college sports teams, pediatrics and geriatric rehab. She uses a comprehensive holistic approach, focusing on neuromuscular reeducation, as well as educating patients in proper biomechanics. Her specialties include musicians' injuries, sports injuries, and nerve impingements. She brings a sense of humor, caring, and enthusiasm to her treatments. She works to promote optimal function for both athletes and non-athletes alike.
Maureen Brady, PT, MA
Maureen has practiced physical therapy for nearly 40 years in settings ranging from home care to orthopedic clinics and hospitals. She has taught at NYU and Russell Sage College Physical Therapy Schools and has been Chief PT at St. Vincent's and Gouveneur Hospitals. She specializes in hand therapy, spinal problems and osteoporosis. She teaches a popular class at Woodstock Physical Therapy in "Strength Training for Bone Health", for those with osteoporosis or osteopenia. Her thorough, competent, and solid nature inspires confidence in her clients. She is also an accomplished writer of both fiction and nonfiction.
Carolyn Abedor, PT
Carolyn has been practicing Physical Therapy in NYC and the Hudson Valley for 17 years. She has worked in a variety of specialty settings, including centers for spine and arthritis, and sports rehabilitation. Her practice combines manual therapy with exercise and movement awareness techniques, to achieve and maintain optimal joint alignment. She believes these are key to achieving one's full potential when recovering from injury or chronic pain. Carolyn combines her passion for the human form with a background in dance and yoga, and brings her joy of movement to her sessions with her patients.
Suzanne Sjem, PT, MS, DPT
Suzanne Sjem is the most recent addition to the staff at Woodstock Physical Therapy. She began practicing physical therapy after graduating from Sacred Heart University in 2004, and completed her doctorate degree in physical therapy at Stony Brook University in 2006. Suzanne's treatment approach combines manual therapy and exercise, and she has special interests in orthopedics and sports medicine. She brings great enthusiasm and a quick mind to her practice, and is highly motivated in her professional growth. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
